چکیده

Purpose: To report a modified rectangular loop suture technique for patients with refractory pupillary optic capture after intraocular lens scleral fixation. Methods: A was performed in four persistent despite medication and laser iridotomy. pattern designed the two quadrants without fixation knot. 2 mm point marked away from corneal limbus. The similarly opposite quadrants. Small conjunctival incisions were made at non-absorbable 10-0 prolene long needle passed. inserted 1 o’clock position through incision passed between iris plane. Then it withdrawn using 26-gauge (G) syringe 8 quadrant. Similarly, 7 under conjunctiva, pulled out of sclera position. It then to conjunctiva knot buried. operation completed closure incision. Results: In all eyes, corrected remained stable recurrence an average 7.25 months. Conclusions: may be useful cases. procedure is relatively simple minimizes exposure suture. expected that this reduce patient discomfort.

Tram-Track Suture Technique for Pupillary Capture of a Scleral Fixated Intraocular Lens

PURPOSE To report a new technique using tram-track suture for pupillary capture of a scleral fixated posterior chamber intraocular lens (PC-IOL) to reposition the tilted IOL. METHODS In this prospective interventional case series, we describe a tram-track suture for pupillary capture of a scleral fixated PC-IOL. A long straight needle with double-armed 10-0 polypropylene is passed behind the ...

Effect of anterior capsulorhexis optic capture of a sulcus-fixated intraocular lens on refractive outcomes.

PURPOSE To assess the effect of optic capture on the achieved refractive outcome after complicated cataract surgery with a sulcus-fixated intraocular lens (IOL). SETTING Sunderland Eye Infirmary, Sunderland, United Kingdom. DESIGN Single-unit, single-surgeon retrospective case-note review. METHODS The case notes were reviewed of patients who had vitrectomy for retained lens matter after p...

Pathogenesis of pupillary capture after posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation.

Pupillary capture is an unusual complication of posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation and may occur in the early or late postoperative period. We describe a series of patients with early or late onset pupillary capture and describe the pathogenesis. Early capture results from mechanical factors and is usually preventable. Late capture may be mechanical but is usually a sequel to the f...

Iris-Claw Intraocular Lens and Scleral-Fixated Posterior Chamber Intraocular Lens Implantations in Correcting Aphakia: A Meta-Analysis.

Purpose A meta-analysis to compare iris-claw intraocular lens (IC-IOL) and scleral-fixated posterior chamber intraocular lens (SF-PCIOL) implantations in correcting aphakia without sufficient capsular support. Methods Eligible studies were collected through PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and the Cochrane library. The pooled relative risks (RR), pooled standardized mean difference (SMD), and ...
